ABOUT THE EVENT:


The American Cinematheque is proud to remember legendary illustrator Drew Struzan, the creator of iconic posters for classics like THE GOONIES, E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL and THE THING, as well as franchises like BACK TO THE FUTURE, STAR WARS and INDIANA JONES. Through his bold, expressive style that brought a painterly sense of color and form to Hollywood’s larger-than-life stories, Struzan’s art has defined the look and feel of “the blockbuster” for generations, and his work will remain beloved by audiences and filmmakers for years to come.
